OUTSIDE
The house is surrounded by a garden and trees, which provide privacy and seclusion.
There is a gas barbeque, shaded outdoor area and outdoor seating. A small flock of black-faced Suffolk sheep lives in the little paddock in front of the house. In the front yard there is not a fence that separates the animals but a ‘ha ha’. This is a pleasing way to view the sheep, as they appear to be in the same yard.
We have provided Badminton and a Petanque set, which can be played whilst sipping on a glass of wine or a cuppa, depending on your mood.
If you feel energetic or simply curious, you can head off for a walk anywhere you like around the property. We have created a mud map of the farm for this purpose. It points out a few good spots for picnics as well as a guide as to which path leads where. Just remember: “leave the gate as you find it” and you cannot go wrong. As the farm is a working farm, stock are often circulated and though a paddock appears to be empty when you walk through it, it may be full on your way back!
